AUSTINTOWN- There will be a Mass of Christian Burial offered at 10:30 AM Friday, May 4, 2007 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with Father Stephen Popovich officiating, preceded by closing prayers to be stated at 10AM in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Victor J. Boerio Jr., 74, of Austintown, who passed away at 12 Noon Monday, April 30, 2007 in Hospice House in Poland. Victor was born May 2, 1932 in Youngstown and was the son of the late Victor J. and Dorothy (Nagel) Boerio Sr. Victor retired on July 31, 1997 from Giant Eagle where he was co-manager. He was also store manager for ValuKing Loblaws prior to Giant Eagle from 1958-1974 and also worked for Century Foods from 1952-1958. Victor was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War. Victor was a member of the church, where he was a Eucharistic Minister and an usher. Victor also visited and distributed communion to shut- ins and those in the hospital. Victor was married to the former Marion Hoskins on August 25, 1954 and they shared 42 years together until her passing on July 16, 1996. Victor is survived by five children Victor J. (Selina) Boerio III of Austintown, Mark Boerio of Florida, Victoria (Timothy) Clark of Austintown, Michael (MaryKay) Boerio of Austintown, and Anthony (Jodie) Boerio of Poland; two stepsisters Donna Dravecky of Naples, Fl; and Sr. Georgette Dublino of Eria, PA; a brother Ronald Boerio of Boardman; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Friday, May 4, 2007 from 9 until 10 AM in the funeral home. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church or to Hospice House.
