Violet A. Davies

Youngstown- Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Violet Alberta Davies, age 90 of Assumption Village, formerly of S. Belle Vista Ave. who died early Wednesday morning at Assumption Village. Violet was born May 13, 1916 in Youngstown and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Emma (Geary) Weiss. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Suzanna Circle at the church. She also belonged to the Sujette Bridge Club, was a former Den Mother for Cub Scouts of America and a 1934 graduate of Chaney High School where she had served on the High School reunion committee. Violet also liked to read and do genealogy. Her husband, Robert F. Davies whom she married Nov. 9, 1940 died June 10, 1976. She is survived by three daughters, Jeanne (David) Kessler of Radnor, OH, Ruth (Jack) Frankenburg of Poland and Carol (John) Densevich of Austintown. She also leaves 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Robert F. Davies Jr. and a sister Opal Kirkner. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30-12:30 PM Friday prior to services. The family requests that material contributions be made to the church
