Violet A. (Russomanno) Goss, age 78, of Greene Township and formerly of Warren, died Friday morning, January 30, 2009, at Meadowbrook Manor Nursing Home in Fowler. She was born June 8, 1930 in Warren the daughter of the the late Anthony and Fannie (Clementi) Russomanno. She was a Warren G. Harding High School graduate. Violet was retired from Packard Electric Corp., where she worked for 25 years as a press operator. She was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards and hosting family gatherings. She is survived by her son, John L. Goss III of Niles; six grandchildren, Brandy N. Petrisin, Michelle K. Goss, Tammy L. Tomasiak, John L. Goss IV, David C. Goss and Shannon M. Goss; seventeen great grandchildren; five sisters, Ann Vadas of Warren, Jennie Gula of Youngstown, Lena Galonski of Niles, Rose Mary Ringer of Newton Falls and Gloria Elberty of Sharpsville, Pa. and two brothers, Joseph and Dan Russomanno both of Warren. Her husband, John L. Goss Jr. preceded her in death in 2000. One son, Ricky A. Goss; one great grandson, David C. Goss Jr. and six brothers and six sisters also preceded in death. Arrangements are being handled by Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren, where friends may call from 10 am to noon Monday. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at noon Monday, February 2, 2009. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.
