Violet M. Sliver passed away on Friday evening May 1st at Trumbull Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born August 3rd, 1926 in Cannonsburg, Pennsylvania the daughter of Fred and Margretta Lewis and moved to Niles at an early age. A graduate of the Niles McKinley High School, Violet spent most of her life as a homemaker along with working for a number of years at National Can in warren. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, crafts, and spending time with family and friends. Violet leaves behind three children: Kathy and her husband William Whitlatch of Mississippi, Dennis Corrado of Michigan, and Daniel and his wife Sue of Niles. She also leaves five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as a niece Patty Jason of Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by two husbands: Andrew Corrado and Stan Sliver. Calling hours will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday May 4th at the Lane Funeral Home Madasz Chapel in Brookfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Dugan Cemetery in Fowler.
