Viona M. Ludke, of Youngstown, passed away early Tuesday morning at her home, she was 79. Viona was born May 22, 1926 in Youngstown a daughter of the late Anthony and Harriet (Beddell) Broll Janesh. She had been a waitress for many years at The Dog House on Mahoning Avenue, and was a member of the former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Youngstown. Viona was an avid bingo player, enjoyed watching sports, and spending time with her family, especially her grandson. Her husband Albert E. Ludke, whom she married August 21, 1947, passed away on October 22, 1977. Viona is survived by her two children: Albert E. Ludke Jr. and Harriet (Bob) Ziak both of Youngstown; one sister Dorothy Wagner of Youngstown; two brothers: Howard (Nancy) Broll of Liberty and Donald (Jeannie) Broll of Poland; and one grandson Craig Ziak. Besides her parents and husband, one sister Thelma Greggs and four brothers Harold, Harry, Jack, and James Broll precede Viona in death. Friends may call from 5-7 PM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel where a funeral service will be held at 7 PM Thursday.
