Austintown- Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Virginia May Hevener age 82 of Austintown. who died early Thursday morning at North Side Hospital. Virginia was born September 25, 1920 in Youngstown and was the daughter of Guy O. and May S. (Colbrunn) Martin. She had been part owner of Wickliffe Tarpaulin Service with her husband, was a member of Mahoning United Methodist Church, Austintown A.A.R. P. #4339, Austintown Kwaniqueens where she had been past president, Charter member of the Woodside School P.T.A., had been active in the Girl Scouts, had been a den mother for the Cub Scouts, was honored in Feb. 2001 by Gov. Taft’s Office under the Ohio Dept. of Aging for couples married over 50 years and involved in community service and was a homemaker. Virginia is survived by her husband Clare Hevener whom she married May 29, 1939 and was married for 63 years, one daughter Claire Rae (John) Mazzella of St. Petersburg, FL. two sons, Dennis (Kathy) Hevener of Boardman Richard J. (Bonnie) Hevener of Austintown, two sisters, June Reel of Austintown, Sylvia Czizmadia of Youngstown, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Sunday.
