Virginia P. Rutherford of Waterford, MI, formerly of Vienna, OH, died at 4:00 PM Thursday at home with her daughter. She was 86. Mrs. Rutherford was born in Braxton County, WVA on Feb. 5, 1921, a daughter of William M. and Ora Caroline Harris Cutlip. Virginia was a homemaker for most of her life. She was employed for 13 years at the Youngstown Airport for Betty Lucas. Her husband, Elmer Rutherford, whom she married Dec. 2, 1939, died March 19, 1989. Survivors include: 4 children, Virginia Frame of Niles, OH, Louella (Burl) Harrouff of Leavittsburg, OH, Patricia (Don) Stiles of Waterford, MI, and Monica Kettlety of Tampa, FL; 1 brother, Rev. Muriel Cutlip of Dailey, WVA; 1 sister, Opal Bragg of Monticello, KY; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; 1 son, Mathew Elmer Rutherford; 2 twin brothers that died at birth; 2 sisters; 1 half sister. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, with Rev. Ronald Starcher pastor of the First Baptist Church of Howland. Calling hours will be 2 to 6 PM Sunday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Vienna Twp. Cemetery. Family and friends may send condolences online to www.MadaszChapel.com.
