Virginia S. Madgar, 83, of Warren passed away peacefully at her home 3:00 AM Sunday Aug. 28, 2011 following an extended illness. She was born Dec. 27, 1927 in Warren the daughter of Samuel and Anna (Schubert) Sangrett. A lifetime area resident, Virginia retired from Packard Electric in 1977 after 30 years of service. She was a life-long member of Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church of Warren. She enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing and puzzles. Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and above all else she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Her beloved husband of 58 years, William Madgar whom she married Aug. 7, 1948 preceded her in death Sept.12, 2006. She also was preceded in death by a son Billy Madgar and by a sister Mary Robincheck. She will be sadly missed by her son Michael (Chrissy) Madgar of Howland, daughter Jean Marie Gadzia of New Mexico, grandchildren Adam (Allison) Madgar of Texas, Michael and Matthew Madgar of Howland and her loving caregiver Darla Murray of Warren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday Aug. 30, 2011 at Roberts-Clark Chapel where friends will be received for 1 hour prior to the service. Virginia will be laid to rest next to her husband at All Souls Cemetery.
