Vivian E. Addis

Mrs. Vivian E. Addis, 84, of Sharon, PA formerly of Superior Street in Masury, passed away on Sunday morning November 28, 2010 at the Sharon Regional Health Center. She was born on November 30, 1925 in Masury, OH the daughter of John T. and Carrie (Price) Evans. She was a 1944 graduate of Brookfield High School and went on to marry Stanley T. Addis on October 27, 1945 and with him would share over forty-seven years of marriage and their four children. Mrs. Addis worked for many years as a bookkeeper beginning at Wheatland Tube, the former Magner-Black C.P.A. firm, and finally retiring from Dr. Gordon Kemp Opthamologist. Vivian was a former President of the Brookfield-Masury Women's Club, loved playing cards with her friends, and in her free time enjoyed cross stitching. She leaves behind her three sons Lindsey Addis and his wife Mary Jo of Sharpsville, PA, David Addis and his wife Kay of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Karl Addis and his wife Joann of Masury, OH; her daughter Sandi Smith and her husband Thom of Deerfield Beach, FL; sister Mae Andrew of Sharpsville, PA; three grandchildren Paul Addis, Ginny Platte, and Heath Clayton; and her three great-grandchildren Sara Webster, Connor Platte, and Marley Jo Clayton. Mrs. Addis was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, and by her sisters Elizabeth Ellis and Maryann Falkner. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM on Friday December 3, 2010 at the Madasz Funeral Chapel 6923 Warren-Sharon Road Brookfield, OH with the Rev. Michael Byus of the Hubbard Church of the Nazarene officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Burial will be with her husband at the Brookfield Township Cemetery.
