Attorney W. Glenn Osborne aged 89, died on August 9th in McMinnville, Oregon. He was born on August 17, 1921 in Youngstown, Ohio to Mark A. Osborne and Loretta Irene McEvey Osborne. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a bombardier in the Italian theater. He achieved the rank of First Lieutenant and was decorated for his service. Among his citations was the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters. Upon his return, he attended Youngstown Business College (Youngstown State University) and Ohio University, completed his undergraduate degree in accounting and his Juris Doctorate in Law at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He served in the FBI under J.Edgar Hoover and later practiced law in Youngstown, Ohio for fifty years. He married Francesca Thomas (deceased 1985) in 1951 and Janet Scannell Neal in 1988. Besides his second wife Janet, Mr. Osborne leaves behind four children: Juilene McKnight of Philadelphia and Canfield, Andrea Simon and Mark Osborne both of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and local Canfield attorney Glenn R. Osborne, as well as stepdaughter Nancy Farrell and stepson Roger Neal. Mr. Osborne's eight grandchildren are Matt, Kelli and Sean Simon, Mara Kate McKnight, Aryana and Aleia Osborne and Conor and Caitlin Osborne. Mr. Osborne's Memorial Mass will be held at St. Paul's Monastery on Rte. 224 in Canfield at 10 a.m. on Labor Day, September 5. Friends of the family are welcome. Mr. Osborne will be laid to rest with full military honors in Dean Hill Cemetery of Canfield.
