AUSTINTOWN- Walter M. Brylo, 69, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Hospice House of Poland. He was born in the country Poland on February 16, 1947, son to the late Antoni and Natalia (Kozikowska) Brylo. Walter graduated from Saunders Technical High School in Yonkers, NY and went on to serve his country and was a combat veteran in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On November 14, 1970, Walter married the love of his life, the former Bogumila "Milly" Rapala. Walter will be remembered for his many hobbies that included fishing, watching sports, playing on his computer, reading the Polish news late in the evening, and reading about wars and watching war movies. Left to celebrate Walter's life is his loving wife of almost 46 years, Bogumila "Milly" Brylo; his children, Matt (Jessica) Brylo, Renee (Patrick) Purton, and Karen Ratliff; his grandchildren, Cole Ratliff, Kayla Ratliff, Tristan Ratliff, Emma Purton, Natalie Purton, Adam Purton, Kaycie Ratliff, and Lucas Brylo; and his sisters, Irma Hooper and Barbara Murphy. In addition to his parents, Walter is preceded in death by his brother, Lester Brylo; his nephew Anthony Brylo; and his nieces, Sandie and Elizabeth Hooper. The family will receive friends from 4PM-6PM on Friday, August 19, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10AM on Saturday, August 20 at St. Joseph Church, 4545 New Rd.
