Wayne B. Goist

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Firday at the lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Wayne B. Goist age 85 of Beeghly Oaks formerly of North Jackson who died Friday afternoon at Beeghly Oaks. Wayne was born April 8, 1918 in Youngstown and was the son of J. Emmett and Regina Marie (Howard) Goist. He had been a self-employed painter and a bus driver for the Jackson-Milton School System. Wayne was a member of the First Federated Church where he had formerly been chori director, was a member of the North Jackson Keen-Agers and served in the Navy during WWII. His wife, Marion K. (Hunt) Goist whom he married July 18, 1941 died Feb. 3, 2003. He is survived by three daughters Patricia Bailey of Macedonia, Sharyn Stack of Boardman, Barbara Morrison of Youngstown, two sons, Richard Goist of Cincinnati, Robert Goist of Mt. Prospect, Illinois, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a brother Donald Goist. The family requests that material contributions be made to the American Heart Assoc.
