Wilda Elinore Van Horn, 82, of Lake Milton, passed away Friday afternoon, March 5, 2010 at her son's home in North Bloomfield surrounded by her family. Born March 23, 1927 in Webster Co., WV, she was the daughter of the late Tom Hannah and Floyd and Idress (Barnett) Hannah Reed. Wilda worked in housekeeping at St. Joseph Hospital for many years. She loved the Lord Jesus and was a good servant to her church. She was a past member of both the Tod Avenue Free Methodist Church and the Believer's Christian Church. Wilda enjoyed camping and playing games with her husband, family and friends as well as knitting and sewing. During her younger years she enjoyed dancing, but most of all, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family and was a good and loving person to everyone she met. She was preceded in death in 1992 by her husband William Wayne Van Horn Sr. whom she married Dec. 2, 1946 and with whom she shared 45 years of marriage. Wilda will be dearly missed by her six children, William W. (Cathy) Van Horn Jr. of Lordstown, Donald L. (Grace) Van Horn of Warren, Ronald R. Van Horn of Newton Falls, Larry L. (Linda) Van Horn of Green Twp., Brenda (Robert) Martin of Lake Milton with whom she made her home, and Jane Ann Langley, 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, two brothers Floyd "Butch" (Judy) Reed Jr. of Austintown, and Johnny Reed of Akron and a sister Carolyn (Chuck) Rowland of Howland. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Calling hours will be Sunday evening from 6 until 8PM at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Rich Whipkey of the North Bloomfield Assembly of God Church will conduct a funeral service on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 11AM the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Meadowbrook Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Celtic Hospice for the genuine compassion and understanding given to them during Wilda's last days. They suggest that material contributions be made to Celtic Hospice at 8747 Squires Ln. NE Warren, OH 44484.
