Wilford Paul Willig

Wilford Paul Willig, age 75, of Youngstown passed away Spetember 29, 2004 at Select Speciality Hospital. Wilford was born January 4, 1929 in Allison Park, PA a son of Raymond and Juliana (Poncar) Willig. He was a facilities plant manager for Cold Metal Products for 40 years retiring in 1987, and was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Youngstown where he was the property manager. Wilford enjoyed model railroading. He is survived by his wife the former Frieda Wolfe whom he married January 6, 1949; three children: Kenneth William Willig of Youngstown, Daniel Paul Willig of Georgia, and Karen Estelle Willig of Youngstown; five grandchildren Kenneth, Kelly, Danielle, Cory and Mitzie; six great grandchildren; a sister in law Hermine Slind and her family; and cousins Gloria (Bill) Amrine and Lilian Rinkes of CA. Material contributions may be made to Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Wilford’s name. Friends may call at the Green Haven Cemetery Chapel of Meditation from 9:30 – 10:00 on Saturday October 9, 2004 where a memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM. Arrangements are being handled by Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
