There will be a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Friday December 9th at Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Rd., Youngstown for Wilfred Ernest Kingsley, Jr who died early Monday evening at his residence, Mr. Kingsley, known as Ernie was born February 23, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Wilfred Ernest and Mary Elizabeth (Gutherie) Kingsley, Sr. He graduated from Mineral Ridge High School in 1948 and served in the Navy Reserves for two years following graduation. He was an operating engineer for Local Union #66, retiring in 1995. Ernie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Operating Engineer Local Union #66 for 60 years. His wife, the former Cornelia Rickert whom he married June 5, 1950, died March 9, 2013. He leaves two daughters, Victoria (Francis) Riggle of Cortland, Joan (Randy Grimm) Kingsley of Austintown; two sons, Tom (Sue) Kingsley of Boardman, Scott Kingsley of Austintown; 14 grandchildren, Robert Kingsley, Jennifer (Eric) Tomocik, Dr. Megan (Todd Nelson) Testa, Heather (John) Hershberger, Paul J. Safarek, Katie (Jeremy) Brown, Kristina Devellin, Kelly (Kevin) Flesher, Justin Real, Brooke Kingsley, Kerry Kingsley, Nicole Kingsley, Thomas (Jenna) Watson and Logan Watson. Ernie also leaves 28 great-grandchildren, and a special cousin, Fern (Claire) Kingsley of Sudbury, Canada. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
