William C Twinem

William Charles Twinem, 75, of Southington, passed away Sunday evening, August 8, 2010 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital from complications of a respiratory condition. Born May 5, 1935 in Warren, Bill was the son of the late Harold James and Virginia Ruth (Hardman) Twinem. A Veteran of the United State Navy, Bill joined the military at the young age of 16. He served our country during the Korean War and received an honorable discharge from the Navy in 1956. Upon his discharge and returning home, Bill finished school and began work at Copperweld Steel Company where he worked as a skilled electrician for more than 35 years. He retired from the company in 1994. Bill was a member of the United Steel Workers of America, a former Mason for 30 years, he attended the Glenn Christian Foundation Church in Warren and enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycling. Bill will be dearly missed by his loving family, a son William E. and his wife Antonia L. Twinem of Howland Twp, daughter, Teresa R. and her husband Randy Garretson of Northville, MI, two granddaughters, Heather and her husband Matt Dupuis and Sarah Proper, a grandson, Joshua Garretson, and sister Donna and her husband William K. Alcorn of Vienna. He was preceded in death by his parents. According to Bill’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services and cremation will take place. The family has entrusted arrangements into the care of the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel.
