William C. "Bill" Moyer, 61 of Champion Township, died at 2:05 a.m.Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at his home in Champion. He was born February 10, 1952 in Warren the son of William H. Moyer of Champion and the late Sara Elizabeth Hartman Moyer. Bill was a 1970 graduate of Champion High School and attended Kent State University Trumbull Campus. He worked for many years as a computer technician. He received his Eagle scout award as a member of Boy Scout Troop No. 27 in Champion, where he also served as a scout leader. Bill had volunteered with the American Red Cross and taught first aid and CPR classes. He loved animals and spending time with his family. Bill is survived by his father, William H. Moyer of Champion; two sisters, Sandi S. (Robert) Lynn and Jan L. (Dan) Sescourka both of Champion; three nieces, two nephews and nine great nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Thursday. Burial will be at Champion Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512.
