Canfield—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at the Canfield Presbyterian Church for William E. Reese of Canfield who passed away early Saturday morning in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. William was born December 19, 1918 in Kingston, Pennsylvania the son of William R. and Minnie (Daniels) Reese. He was retired from the construction industry, where he had worked for the Fowler Construction Company in Youngstown and National Tube in Lorain Ohio. He enjoyed building and repairing clocks and doing woodworking. Mr. Reese was a WWII Army Airforce veteran, a member of the Canfield Presbyterian Church, the American Legion Post #177, the V.F.W. Post 9571 Ellsworth, the Canfield Historical Society, St. David’s Society and the Canfield Community Club. His wife, the former Anna Thomas whom he married April 21, 1946, passed away September 5, 2004. William leaves two children: Jacquelyn Ann (DJ) Johnson of Mountain Home Idaho, and Thomas (Patty) Reese of Canfield, Five grandchildren: Jennifer, Katie, Ryan, Kelly, and Kyle. Besides his wife Anna, two sons Dennis Lynn Reese, and baby boy Reese, as well as a brother James D. Reese preceded him in death. Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Monday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that Memorial contributions be made to the Canfield Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund 140 W. Main St. Canfield, Oh 44406 in Williams name. Internment will be in Canfield Village East cemetery and a memorial luncheon will be served at the church following the services.
