William Glenn Gillie

Services will be held on Saturday, February 2, at 10:30 a.m. at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for William Gillie of 531 Ventura Drive Youngstown, who passed away at North Side Medical Center from respiratory failure on Tuesday. He was born October 8, 1919 in Charleroi, PA., the son of William H. and Sarah (Kinslow) Gillie. He was a supervisor at Youngstown Sheet & Tube for 40 years retiring in 1978. He was a member of Youngstown Traffic Club. He is survived by his daughters Glenda Hrosch of Youngstown, Rosann DiVencenzo of Lordstown, Sara Fuller of Austintown, sons John Gillie of Mineral Ridge , Robert Gillie of Vermillion, OH., sister Mary Ellen Burdick of DE., brothers Robert Gillie of Youngstown, David Gillie of Austintown, John W. Gillie of Erie PA., 17 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen (McMaster)Gillie whom he married on March 2, 1940 and who died in 1987.
