William H Bell

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, for Mr. William H. Bell, 84, of 4216 Selkirk Ave. who died Tuesday evening at his residence. Mr. Bell was born February 3, 1918 in Youngstown, the son of William and Blanche (Zanders) Bell and was a lifelong area resident. He had been employed as a tinsmith for US Steel 39 years, retiring in 1980. William attended the Wedgewood Park Evangelical Congregational Church and was an Airforce veteran of WWII receiving seven Bronze Stars. He enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his first wife, June Louise Cluse and his second wife, the former Ruby Case, whom he married July 11, 1968, a daughter, Janice E. Cubbison of Cincinnati, two sons, William C. Bell of Austintown and David A. Bell of Canfield, three stepdaughters, Cora Mae Starkey of Mobile, AL, Gail Klein of Austintown and Connie Hensen of Poland, a stepson, Larry Means of Niles. 7 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. His parents and a sister, Clarissa Clark and ½ brother, Myron Zanders preceded him in death. Friends may call from 6 to 9 PM Thursday at the funeral home. The family requests that material contributions take the form of donation to the church.
