William H. Heron

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel for William H. Heron age 87 of 226 E. State Rt. 14, Columbiana, OH. William was born Nov. 10, 1915 in Girard, OH. A son of William J. and Flora Stark Heron. William worked for A. M. Byers Mills for 38 years where he was an inspector and then for the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School retiring in 1982. He was a 1936 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. He served in the Army-Air Corp. during World War II. He is survived by two sisters Violet Bollinger of Girard and Vivian Cole of Boardman. Friends may call Monday from 3-6 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. The family request no food or flowers and tributes to the Angels for Animals.
