William James Burke

William J. "Stupid" Burke, 47, of Niles passed away Monday, January 20, 2009 in University Hospital in Cleveland. Born May 9, 1961 in New Haven, CT he was the son of Charles and Dorothy (Brown) Burke Jr. Known to many by his unique nickname, "Stupid", Bill came to the Warren area from Connecticut in 1994. He was employed by Mike Morse Construction for the past 7 years as a general laborer and construction worker. Stupid was an avid pool player and golfer. A very vocal fan of his beloved Yankees and Jets, he enjoyed playing with his German shepherd "Keymo", gardening, and was a great fan of NASCAR. Bill was a fun loving person and will be sadly missed by his wife, Kathryn V. (Belko) Burke whom he married July 21, 1995, by his father Charles Burke Jr. of West Haven, CT, siblings, Michael (Ginny) Burke, Charlie (Carol) Burke both of West Haven, CT, and Marty (Cheryl) Burke of Milford, CT, by his Father and Mother-in-law Fred and Helen Belko of Warren, three brothers-in-law Stephen (Connie) Belko of Champion, Fred (Donna) Belko of Hermitage, PA and John (Stephanie) Belko of Tipp City, OH and by several nieces and nephews. The Rev. Michael A. Sabella will conduct a funeral service on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel at 4PM where family and friends may visit from 1 to 4PM. Concluding the funeral service, cremation will take place. Bill's Mother was a heart and kidney recipient. Because of this he was a firm believer of organ donation. Being the giving person he was, he would be proud to know that he was able to give the gift of life.
