William (Bill) John Mizicko, of Vienna, OH, passed away Sunday, April 05, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Main Campus in Youngstown. He was 60 years old. Mr. Mizicko was born on June 22, 1948 in Sharon, PA, a son of Michael J. and Mary I. (Murcko) Mizicko. A 1967 graduate Mathews High School, Bill also went on to attend the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics where he graduated with an airplane mechanics certification. Bill went on to serve our country as a Private in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a telecommunications specialist who was stationed in South Korea. After his time in the service, he went on to marry the former Diane Sisco on December 2, 1978, and together they would share more than thirty years of marriage. He was employed at Republic Steel, more recently known as WCI as a mechanic technician in the scale shop. He retired with more than thirty years of dedication in 2007. Bill was a proud member of Vienna V.F.W. Post #3521 where he had served as post adjutant. He was also a devout member of St. Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church in Vienna where he had served as an Usher. Bill thrived through a multitude of interests which put an unending smile on his face. First and foremost was his family. He was an avid outdoorsman: bicyclist, motorcyclist, wind surfer, barefoot water-skier, roller skater, snow-skier, archer, boater, welder, pilot, ice-hockey player, and could build and fix anything and everything. He particularly loved the holidays and enjoyed chopping wood. Bill leaves behind his exceptional family; his wife Diane and their three children Kenneth, Lindsey and Daniel all living at home. He is the tenth of eleven children. His brothers Thomas, Michael (Mary Ann), James (Flo), Robert (Kathy), and Richard (Laura) all of Vienna. His sisters Mary Ann Dickson of Brookfield, Margaret (John) Phillips of Burghill, Dolores (Dave) Rupert of Masury, and Elinor (Martin) Bottar of Vienna; his mother-in-law Helen Sisco, Brother-in-law Ronald Sisco, Sister-in-law Connie Sisco all of Niles, and Sister-in-law Mariann DeChristofaro of Vienna. Bill also leaves behind thirty-two nieces and nephews, fifty-two great-nieces and nephews, and four great-great-nephews and niece. Preceding him to his heavenly home were his parents and an infant sister Francis. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Vincent De Paul Roman Catholic Church, with Rev. Frank Zanni, Pastor. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the Lane Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel, Brookfield. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
