William Kevin Odell, 63, of Fowler, passed away in Edgewater, Maryland Sunday, April 22, 2018, surrounded by family. Bill was born March 20, 1955 in Warren, Ohio to the late James A. and Kathleen D. Odell. Bill graduated from Western Reserve High School in 1973 and proudly served the City of Cortland as a police officer for 31 years before retiring in 2010. He was a five-star husband, parent and grandfather; a dedicated Christ follower; a passionate firearms instructor; an excellent woodworker; a skilled horticulture enthusiast; and an average golfer. Those who knew him will forever remember his calm demeanor and sarcastic humor. He leaves his wife of 39 years, Patricia Odell, of Fowler, Ohio; his son, Benjamin (Lindsey) Odell, of Edgewater, Maryland; his daughter, Rebecca (Robert) Oleksa, of Worthington, Ohio; his grandson, Rex Oleksa, of Worthington, Ohio; and siblings George Odell, Susan Armbruster, Deborah Conrad, Thomas Odell, Mary Ebenstein and Doug Odell. Calling hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 27 at his home church, Fowler Community Church. Funeral services will begin 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28 at Fowler Community Church with viewing at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in his memory to the Warren Family Mission.
