William L. Hamner Iii

Youngstown- William L. Hamner III of 616 Winchester Ave. Youngstown 44509, died Saturday morning at his residence. Bill was born December 15, 1947 in Youngstown the son of William and Ruby (Freeland) Hamner Jr. and was a lifelong area resident. Bill married the love of his life Maryetta (Coudriet) July 24, 1965 they would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in July. Together they were blessed with four children who will cherish Bill's memory; William L. Hamner IV of Youngstown, Brenda Hamner Watters of Warren, Susan Wallace of Liberty and Pamela (Roger) Edwards of Lisbon. Bill also leaves behind his grandchildren; Starlet Deas, Tera Watters, Stevie Watters, Cynthia Wallace, Miranda Wallace, Trae Edwards, Maecie Edwards, Reese Edwards and two great grandchildren Jiya Deas and Michael Moore. Bill loved his family more than anything else in life, he was a true dedicated husband, father and friend. He also is survived by brothers; James, John and Edward Hamner, his future son in law Mark Wiles and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry and sisters June Shaffer and Karen Whitefield. Bill retired in 1988 from General Motors where he had been a tow motor operator. He was an avid fisherman and loved collecting anything to do with frogs. The family would like to thank Dolores Monoski and Floyd Lutton who helped with Bill's care. Following Bill's wishes there will be no services or calling hours.
