YOUNGSTOWN: William M. Padisak, Sr., age 83 passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Born September 26, 1929 in Clarence, PA, he was the son of George and Thresa (Svancer) Padisak. Mr. Padisak moved to the area in 1962. He proudly served in the US Navy; was a member of St. Joseph Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister; he was also a volunteer for Hospice of the Valley. He was an executive with the Lawson Milk Company for many years, after his retirement he opened several convenience stores including Golden Food Mart. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating with his children and family. Survivors include his children: Theresa Farah of Austintown, William M. (Beth) Padisak of Deerfield, Deborah (Jeff) Ringer of North Jackson, and Patricia (Jim) Bortmas of Canfield; grandchildren: Daniel Farah, Melissa (Michael) Ames, Nicole (Themi) Tsarnas, Aaron Padisak, Alex Silva-Padisak, Dana Halas, Brittany and Amanda Ringer, Erica, Sarah, and Joshua Bortmas; great-grandchildren: Alex, Ella, and Nicholas Tsarnas and Jackson Ames; brother George of Pa. and sister Margaret Kosir of Willoughby Hills as well as a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Nellie in February of 1995; brothers: Anthony, Andrew, Frank, and Joseph; sisters: Johanna, Mary Stokes, and Sr. Mary Scholastica. Friends will be received at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel on Monday from 4-8PM. Services will be held at Old North Church in Canfield on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 10AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lane Family Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel (330-744-2289).
