William R. Scott

Austintown- Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for William Scott who died Tuesday afternoon in North Side Hospital. Bill was born December 31, 1934 in Apollo, PA. the son of William B. and Alberta (Suman) Scott. Bill retired in 1996 from RMI in Niles where he had worked 41 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and working on cars. He loved his family and home. Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred (Heckman) Scott whom he married in 1953, children; Linda Burkholder of Warren, Patty (Ralph) Woodly, Mary Scott both from McDonald, Gary Scott from Austintown, David Scott from Mineral Ridge and William Scott Jr. from Austintown. He is also survived by brothers, Rev. Raymond L. Scott of Hermitage, PA., Leroy Scott of Munnsville, NY., nephew Roger Scott who he raised of Youngstown, 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother Clair Scott. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Friday at the funeral home
