William Richard Streb Jr.

William Richard Streb Jr., age 81, passed away Tuesday morning at the Hospice House. He was born April 30, 1931 in Youngstown a son William Richard and Helen (Brace) Streb Sr. Bill was a scale repairman for US Steel McDonald Works retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Woodland Park United Methodist Church, enjoyed bowling, participating in various leagues and once achieved a perfect 300. He coached Little League and Pony League in McDonald for 30 plus years and was an avid Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan. Bill will be sadly missed by his mother of Youngstown, his wife the former Donna Hillier, whom he married June 26, 1953; three children: Gary Streb of McDonald, Sherry Dunn of McDonald and Lori Smaltz of Niles; one sister Audrey Kwiecien of Youngstown; two half brothers; one step sister; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Bill is preceded in death by his father; a son William R. Streb III and a half brother. Following with Bill's wishes cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to Briarfield at the Ridge or Hospice House in Bill's name. Lane Family Funeral Homes Mineral Ridge Chapel has been entrusted to handle the arrangements.
