William S. Suit

September 3, 1929 — November 10, 2007

William S. “Poppy” Suit of 8085 Superior Street, Masury, Ohio, died at 2:13 PM Saturday (11-10-2007) in the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Youngstown, Ohio following a brief illness. He was 78. Mr. Suit was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania on September 3, 1929, a son of Mike and Mary (Simonik) Suit. A 1947 graduate from Beaver Falls High School, Bill furthered his education by graduating from the Pittsburgh School of Aeronautics in 1955. He went on to serve our country in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant during Korean Conflict. Mr. Suit retired in 1996 after 41 years as an Aircraft & Engine Mechanic having worked for Beckett Aviation and the DeBartolo Corporation, both located in the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport. He was also the owner and operator of A.E.P.S. Tools, Masury, for close to 25 years. Best known as “Poppy”, he loved to brag about his grandchildren & great-grandchildren, which he spent a great deal of time with. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed walking at the Shenango Dam & Buhl Park, with his wife and their dog, Willie. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Survivors include: his wife, Shirley A. (Cox) Suit, whom he married February 19, 1955; his children, Kimberly White & her husband Michael, Hermitage, PA, William Suit & his wife Renea, Masury, OH, and Michael Suit & his wife Tammy, Snowhill, NC; his sisters, Maryann Arthurs, Dolores Pollicaro & her husband Albert, both of Chippewa, PA; his sister-in-law, Margaret Suit, Chippewa, PA; his grandchildren, Melissa Jones & her husband Kent, MJ White & his wife Arinn, Melinda Suit, Billy Suit, and Brandon Suit; and his great-grandchildren, Ryan Leedham & Kent Jones, III. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his brother, Mike Suit; and by his sister, Tillie Suit. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, Ohio, with Rev. Gary Javens, Retired Pastor & brother-in-law. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 PM and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Brookfield Township Cemetery with full military honors.
