Austintown- Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for William “Smokey” G. Jensen, age 80, of 5603 Baylor Ave. who died Thursday morning at his home. Bill “Smokey” was born November 28, 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pa. and was the son of the late Gaston and Irene (Glenter) Jensen. He retried in 1991 form Packard Electric where he had worked in the Tool and Die Dept. Bill “Smokey” had served in the Army Air Force during WWII and the Korean War and enjoyed tape recording, record collecting and model building. Bill “Smokey” is survived by his wife, the former Jean Bonstingl whom he married July 29, 1947. He also leaves two daughters, Janet (Doug) Capron of Broadrun, Vir. and Wilma Almasi of Austintown. and two grandchildren Devin (Jamie) Almasi and Derreck Almasi. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Sunday. The family requests that material contributions be made to Forum Health Hospice.
