William Thomas "Tom" Shilling, 62 of Howland passed away at 3:40am Thursday September 23, 2009 at his residence. Tom was born in Kittanning, Pa on June 11, 1947, the son of William Thomas and Amy (Claypoole) Shilling. A lifetime area resident, Tom worked as a mold fitter at Packard Electric retiring in 1999 after 33 years of service. Tom enjoyed playing golf, doing crossword puzzles, and channel surfing. Most of all he enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren. Survived by his wife, the former Barbara Molek, whom he married September 22, 1973 celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary Wednesday. Tom is also survived by his three children; Brian (Pam) Shilling of Warren, Kim (Dan) King of Cuyahoga Falls and Shane Shilling of Warren; siblings Margaret O'Hara of McDonald, Rachel Killan of Girard Richard Shilling of Warren; his seven grandchildren, Jordan, Peyton, Cameron, Reagan, Spencer, Madison, and Shayna. He was preceded in death by his parents. According to Tom's wishes there will be no calling hours or services. Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren handled the arrangements.
