William W Seekins

William W. Seekins, 82, passed away Wednesday morning, September 25, 2013 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. He was born in Warren on February 4, 1931, a son of George Seekins and Mary-Lucille (Ryan) Seekins. He was a Howland High School 1949 graduate and Marine Veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Local 573 as an electrician for many years before retiring in 1993. During his time at the Local 573 he served as a business agent for many years. William was a member of The Living Lord Lutheran Church. He also was a member of the Howland Kiwanis, Howland Athletic Club, American Legion, and the VFW. He also was an umpire and coach with baseball and was instrumental in starting the Howland High School Football Program. He is survived by his wife Gail Seekins, who he married October 19, 1991; four children William "Huck" Seekins, George "Mick" Seekins, Suzanne (Mike) Johnson, Jon (Kathy) Seekins; his five step children John Mamula, Marti (Chuck) Bergana, Rochelle (Tim) Gallo, Kevin (Lisa) Mamula, and Danielle (Fred) Noday; nineteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Anne Seekins, and his sister Georgeann Seekins. Funeral services will be held at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts- Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren, OH 44483 on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 5:00PM. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service. The Lane Family Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Dr. NE of Warren, handled the arrangements for William.
