Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday at the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church for Wilma Stewart of Canfield who passed away on Thursday evening at Hampton Woods Nursing Home in Poland. Wilma was born June 29, 1932 in Rural Valley, Pennsylvania the daughter of Blair and Velda (Cogley) Smail. A homemaker, Wilma once worked for the Armstrong Company in Pennsylvania as a secretary and had worked for the Hormel Company as a product demonstrator. She was a member of the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church where she was a member of the Altar Guild, was a lay reader and Sunday school teacher. She was a board member of the Monday Musical Club, the Stambaugh Pillars, and the Visiting Nurses Association. Wilma was also a Girl Scout leader. Besides her mother, Wilma leaves her husband William Stewart whom she married October 20, 1956 and two children: Debra and her husband Steven Hallas of North Jackson and Jeffrey and his wife Stephany Stewart of Canfield. She also leaves a brother Kenneth Smail and sister Donna Miller both of Kittanning, PA, as well as four grandchildren: Kristie and Kyle Hallas and Madison and Sydney Stewart. She was preceded in death by her father. Friends and family may call from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, one hour prior to the services in the church. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church at 3755 S. Raccoon Rd. Austintown, OH 44515.
