Winona Harriet Guthrie

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30AM Wednesday, January 4, 2006 with the Rev. David Roberts officiating in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Winona “Winnie” H. Guthrie formerly of Evelyn Rd in Youngstown, who passed away at 1:50AM Friday in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Winnie was 74. Winnie was born on August 20, 1931 in Baltimore, MD and was the daughter of Harry and Juilialee (Waltz) Bennett. Winnie was a magazine stripper for Mahoning Valley Distributing. Winnie was of the Mormon faith and enjoyed sewing, reading, and collecting recipes. Most of all, Winnie enjoyed being with her family. Winnie is survived by her children and grandchildren Steven Guthrie of Phoenix and his daughters Meghan and Tara Guthrie both of Phoenix, Rhonda (Steve) Fulcher of Panama City, Fl and their son Andy Fulcher also of Panama City, Fl, Nancy (Larry) Jensen of Austintown and their children Robert (Krissy) Jensen and Abby Jensen all of Austintown, and Julie Guthrie of Philomath, OR and her son John Carl of Nashua, NH; five brothers Gary, Gilmore, Bruce, Allen, and Kenny Bennett all of Ohio; and two sisters Joyce Straino of Pennsylvania, and Caroline Bennett of Montana. Besides her parents, Winnie was preceded in death by a sister Larue Amelung. Family will receive friends from 5 until 8 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2006 in the funeral home. Interment will take place in Green Haven Memorial Park.
