Althea M. Sanzenbacher

Leavittsburg – Althea M. Sanzenbacher, 96, passed away Sunday May 27, 2024 at Trumbull Regional Medical Center.

Althea was born on October 30, 1927 in Warren, OH a daughter of the late Lawrence and Ethel McGee.

She was a secretary for Warren Township High School from 1945 to 1950. On July 16, 1948 she married the love of her life, Dale Sanzenbacher and began their family.

She was a member of Ladies Aid of the First Community Church of Leavittsburg. She enjoyed quilting and serving spaghetti dinners. She was an avid golfer and golfed in the Cranberry Ladies Thursday Golf League and the Child’s Conservation League.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale, who passed away on June 12, 2017; daughters, Gwen and Gale.

She will be deeply missed by three nephews; four nieces; her close friends and neighbors that have helped take care of her and keep her in her own home, Gary Morton, Gene and Jenny Kaszowski, Pastor John Jaros, and the ladies of the First Community Church.

Funeral services for Althea will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday June 1, 2024 at First Community Church of Leavittsburgh, located at 4640 W. Market St in Leavittsburg. Family and friends may visit an hour prior from 10-11:00AM

Burial will take place at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Community Church in Leavittsburg in Althea’s memory.
