ANGELO R. "HONEY" ROBERTS, 92 YOUNGSTOWN- A Prayer Service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Lane Family Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. At St. Joseph Church, 4545 New Rd. in Austintown for Angelo R. "Honey" Roberts, 92, who died early Thursday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. Angelo was born April 28, 1923 in Youngstown, a son of Angelo and Rosa Carlucco Mastroberti. He was a graduate of East High School and served his country during WW ll as a member of the Army Air Corp. Honey was a painter with the General Fireproofing Co. for 30 years, retiring June 27, 1971. He was a former member of Sacred Heart Church. Honey enjoyed playing games with his family, especially playing cards, washers and bocci. He also enjoyed gardening. He was a "Jack of all Trades and Master of All". His wife, the former Virginia R. Lambert, whom he married March 26, 1949, died March 4, 1982. Honey is survived by his daughters, Virginia (Joseph) Ruscitti of Canfield, Rosie (Greg) Didiano of Austintown and Angela (Carmine) Petrillo of Pearland, TX; his son, Thomas J. Roberts of Austintown; his brother, Michael Roberts of Austintown; his grandchildren, Joey, Jennifer, Nicky, Greg, Carmine and Angie; his gr. grandchildren, Nicky, Jr., Hannah, Joey, Ben, Luke, Aaliyah, Noah, Riley and Gregory Angelo and his loving companion, his dog Bo. Besides his parents and wife, Honey was preceded in death by his sister, Columbia Lauriente and his brothers, Joe, Tony and Lou Roberts. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
