Ann Marie (Grgos) Rupich, 88, of Austintown, Ohio, died Thursday morning, July 4th, at her son's residence in Massachusetts. She was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandson. Ann was born August 20th, 1924, in Imperial, PA, the first daughter of Martin and Barbara (Rosic) Grgos, and grew up in Warwood, WV. She married Walter Rupich, February 25, 1945 and moved to the Youngstown area later that year. Ann was a member of St. Joseph Church, former member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, and loving mother, wife and homemaker. She was a volunteer at the Northside Hospital gift shop for over 30 years. She was an avid sewer, making clothes and quilts for her children and grandchildren. Ann is survived by her children Barbara Ann (William) Connolly of New Bedford, Mass., Martin (Anita) Rupich of Framingham, Mass. and Patricia (Roy Swindler) Rupich of Cincinnati. Ann is also survived by grandchildren Anne, Margaret, Kristin and Sara, great-grand son Benjamin, sister Agnes Givens, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Walter, brother Albert and sister Margaret. Family and friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel. Closing prayers will start at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at St. Joseph Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Beatitude House 238 Tod Lane Youngstown, OH 44504.
