AUSTINTOWN-There will be a memorial service held at 10AM Thursday, February 28, 2008 in the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for Arlene Kovalik, 84, who passed away at 4:45PM Saturday, February 23, 2008 in her home. Arlene was born October 19, 1923 in Tridelphia, WV the daughter of the late George and Carrie (Grace) Weeks. Arlene was of the Methodist faith. She worked her first years at Packard Electric in Warren. She later went on to be a beautician and then finished through retirement at the General Motors Lordstown Plant. Arlene was a member of the Rebecca Lodge in Mineral Ridge. She was an avid golfer belonging to two leagues and enjoyed country line dancing. Arlene was known by many for her wonderful cooking. Arlene is survived by two sons Gary M. with whom she made her home, and Dan E. of Warren; a granddaughter Carrie (Jeremy) Haynes; a Son-in-Law, John Reddinger; and three step grandchildren Brad (Kelly) Reddinger, Jennifer (Mark) McHale, and Kevin Reddinger. Besides her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by a daughter Janice K. Reddinger, and an infant child Baby Weeks; brothers Henry, George, and Joseph Weeks; and sisters Gertrude Keller, Ella Mae Enochs, Bernice Chapman, and Blanche Fonderlin. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 from 5 until 8 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to The First United Methodist Church of Mineral Ridge.
