Arthur R. "Sonny" Kreller, age 70, of Bazetta, died on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, in his "special" workshop in his home. Sonny was born on April 28, 1943, in Cleveland, a son of the late Arthur Kreller and the late Stella Spala. He graduated from Harding High School in 1960. Sonny served in the U.S. Army from 1964-1970. After his tour of duty in the military, he went to work at Copperweld and CSC Steel in the 12" mill. He retired in 2004 with 34 years of service. He loved to fish and spent many hours with his friends on Mosquito Lake. After retiring, he became a precision wood worker winning all first place awards and two Grand Championships at the Trumbull County Fair. Sonny is survived by his wife, Kathy Durst Kreller of Bazetta, a son, Robert (Kim) Kreller of Strongsville and a daughter, Kara (Tony) Samangy of Hudson. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Ethan, Sofia, Jeremy, Madeline and Justin who were his special joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Carl Kreller and a sister Christine Kreller. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 23, 2012, from 10am 11am at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland. Services will be held on Monday at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Cortland.
