A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Audrey Maribelle Winans of Salem and formerly Berlin Center, who passed away on Thursday morning at Salem Community Hospital. Audrey was born June 16, 1925 in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio the daughter of Raymond and Louise (Squires) Force. A graduate of the Toledo School of Nursing, she was a nurse at both Trumbull Memorial and Salem Community Hospitals as well as a private duty nurse for many years. Audrey also served as a welder in the Civil Service during WWII. A member of the Berlin Center United Methodist Church, Audrey was also a former member of the Ellsworth Presbyterian Church. She leaves five children: Rick (Renee) Winans of Baltimore, MD, William (Sandra) Winans of Salem, Holly (Ben) Serensky - Lupo of Poland, Lee Roy Winans of Toledo, and Sue Ann Winans of Hillsville, PA. She also leaves ten grandchildren: Jennifer, Matthew, Bill Jr, Joshua, Tyler, Bobbie Jo, Joe Jr, Jessica, Kara, and Austin. She also leaves three great-grandchildren: Tyler, Alyssa and Joe III. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband Roy L. Winans whom she married November 3, 1949 and passed away on January 2, 1985. A brother Raymond Force also preceded her in death. Friends and family may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
