August Lukasko

August “Luke” Lukasko of 7235 Wildwood Drive, NE, Brookfield, Ohio, died on Saturday (9-30-2006) in the Emergency Room of Sharon Regional Health Care System. He was 51. Mr. Lukasko was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, on October 30, 1954, a son of Alec L. and Frances (Varga) Lukasko. As a child, Luke attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is currently a member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church, Sharon. A 1972 graduate from Brookfield High School, August furthered his education by obtaining a B.S. in Business at Thiel College, Greenville, PA. He played football and was on the wrestling team for both schools. He had been employed for the last 28 years at Delphi Packard, Warren, Ohio, where he was currently a Human Resources Manager. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his unique cars and all water sports. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family. Survivors include: his mother, Frances Lukasko, Brookfield, OH; his wife, Nancy (Strimbu) Lukasko, whom he married November 21, 1986; his daughter, Kara Baker & her fiancé Mark J. Kasula, both of Brookfield, OH; his brothers, Alec Lukasko & his wife Cathy, Brookfield, OH, Mark Lukasko & his wife Monica, Sharpsville, PA, Dr. Luke Lukasko & his wife Judy, Garrettsville, OH, Paul Lukasko & his wife Lisa, Fowler, OH, and George Lukasko, Brookfield, OH; his brothers-in-law, Nick Strimbu III & Bill Strimbu, both of Brookfield, OH; his sister-in-law, Becky Popa & her husband John, Hinckley, OH; as well as 16 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; by his paternal grandparents, John & Ilona Lukasko; and by his maternal grandparents, Paul & Anna Varga. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. John’s Episcopal Church, with Fr. Douglas K. Dayton, Pastor. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield. Burial will be in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
