Betty Gayle Thompson

Betty Gayle Thompson, age 88 of Niles passed away peacefully on Monday, September 11, 2023. She was born in Youngstown on June 1, 1935, to the late Wallace and Beatrice Jones Weber. She was preceded in death by her grandchild, Devon Michael Thompson, sisters, Josephine Aston, Beatrice Bullock, and Alice Piper Brink.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Niles. She enjoyed music and playing the organ. She was a member of the SCOPE Band, in her spare time she read books and worked on crossword puzzles. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

She is survived by her son, Michael Thompson; granddaughter, Tea Thompson; 2 great granddaughters, and other extended family members.
