Brian Lee Bjorson

COLORADO SPRINGS--- A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Boardman to celebrate the life of Brian Lee Bjorson who went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 7, at his home in Colorado Springs. Brian was born May 1, 1954 in Youngstown, the youngest son of William and Arlene Burkman Bjorson and moved to Canfield in 1959. He was an active member of Bethel Lutheran, growing up in the church. Brian graduated from Canfield High School in 1972 where he was very active and a three year letterman in football, basketball, and track. He graduated from Wittenberg University in 1976 with a degree in Business Administration and played football for three years as the kicker. They were NCAA National Champions in 1975. The majority of Brian's business career was in retail property management with the Edward J. DeBartolo Corp., the Reef Corp., and the Axis Corp. while living in both Florida and Colorado. He married Robin Holland on July 31, 1979 and they had three children. Always with a smile, he enjoyed the outdoors while spending time with his family, camping, traveling, and playing golf and tennis. Brian was able to be in Canfield in July to visit with his family. He will be sadly missed by everyone he leaves; his parents of Canfield; his former wife of Florida; his son, Kristofer of Colorado Springs; his daughter, Laura (Ryder) Curry and his grandchildren, Brayden and Alyssa Curry all of Panama City, Florida; his brothers, David (Nancy) of Pensacola, Florida and Jeffrey of Canfield; and his six nieces and nephews. Brian was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Lee Bjorson. Friends may call from 10 to 11:00 A.M. Saturday prior to the service at church.
