Charles E. Giesy

Charles Edward Giesy Jr., 66, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 16, 2024 at St. Elizaeth Medical Center in Youngstown. 

Charles was born on August 12, 1957 in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late Charles and Mildred Faye Giesy Sr. 

He was a graduate of Bristol High School and a proud veteran of the United States Army. 

He enjoyed watching NASCAR, dirt track racing, and all sports. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

Charles will be deeply missed by his loving wife, JoAnne Giesy, whom he married June 30, 1979; children, Jason (Krystal) Giesy, Beth Giesy, and Steve Durda; grandchildren, Brandon, Chase (Autumn), Amelia (Lauro), Anthony, Malaya (Sam) Steven, Jaicee, Kaylee, Seth, and Derrik; great-grandson, Lauro Andre; and siblings, Mark (Jodie) Giesy, Scott (Lori) Giesy, Missy (Mike) Leon, and Jamie Rodger. 

A memorial service for Charles will be held at 4:00PM on July 12, 2024 at Wildare Church located at 7211 N. Park Ave. in Cortland.
