Charles Matthew Koch Sr. -- 74 Austintown—Services will be held at 10 AM Thursday morning in St Christine Church for Charles Matthew Koch Sr., 74 of Austintown who passed away late Sunday Afternoon in Briarfield Manor Care Center. Charles was born June 24, 1929 in Youngstown the son of William F. and Katherine V. (Stock) Koch. Charles was the owner and operator of Minuteman Plumbing for 36 years. He was also a member of the church and an Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean War. Charles leaves his wife the former Virginia Franken whom he married December 27, 1952, five daughters Deborah (Timm) Schreiber of Austintown, Candace Turek of Youngstown, Janet (Terry) Shaw of Naples FL, Kerry (John) Cross of Austintown, and Christine (David) Comeau of Austintown, three sons Joseph E. (Patricia), Charles M. Jr. (Katherine), and William F. all of Austintown, a sister Margaret Walters of TX, nineteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Two brothers William F. Jr., and Joseph Koch and a sister Helen Davis preceded Charles in death. Family and friends may call from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. The family requests material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market Street Youngstown, Ohio 44512 in Charles’ name.
