Cody Michael Donaldson

Cody Michael Donaldson, 28 passed away unexpectedly on August 9, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by his loving family.  Cody was born on December 29, 1995, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of David S. and Tracy L. (Campbell) Donaldson. A 2014 graduate of Austintown Fitch and MCCTC, he was employed by Macy’s Fulfillment Center for 3 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator.  Cody enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, spending time hiking and photographing nature. An animal lover, he volunteered at the Mahoning County Dog Pound. His favorite times were spent in the woods shed hunting or simply walking the trails of Mill Creek Park. Cody loved playing disc golf, riding his motorcycle, and was always planning the next fun adventure for Savannah and Avery. His personality was contagious, finding new friends wherever he went. Above all Cody was dedicated to his family and was the best father to his daughter Avery. He found joy in living simply and spending time with those he loved.  A devoted son, brother, uncle, father, and fiancé Cody will be missed by his parents David and Tracy, fiancé Savannah Harris, daughter Avery Donaldson, brothers David S. Donaldson Jr., Cole Donaldson, nephew Ryker Donaldson, niece Oakley Donaldson, Uncle Troy (Billina) Donaldson and cousins Kinnison Fulton, Cooper Donaldson and Caden Donaldson. He also leaves his faithful canine companions Cleo and Kenai. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Dave and Leota Donaldson and Daryhl and Mary Campbell. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday August 15, 2024, from 4:00 -6:30 pm at Lane Funeral Homes – Austintown Chapel followed by a funeral service at 6:30 pm.
