Dale A. Mellott

Services will be held on Thursday, January 31, at 11:00 a.m. at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Dale A. Mellott of 4355 Pembrook Road Austintown, who passed away at North Side Medical Center on Sunday. He was born May 3, 1934 in Youngstown, the son of Fred D. and Effie (Neff) Mellott. He presently was working for Bales Davis Excavating Company for 16 years and formerly for the Erie-Lackawana Railroad as an Engineer retiring in 1984 after 25 years. He was of the Protestant faith and loved to garden and hunt. He was a graduate of Fitch High School and served in the Ohio National Guard. He is survived by his wife Amanda (Kunkle)Mellott whom he married on April 15, 1972, sons Richard Mellott of Austintown, Paul Mellott of Boardman and daughter Linda Powell of Berlin Center, six grandchildren Tracy, Andria, Steve, Crystal, Nicole, Kelsey a sister June E. Fitch of Austintown and three brothers Don Reynolds of Columbiana, Harold Mellott and Kenneth Mellott both of Austintown. He is preceded in death by his sister Alice Mellott and a grandson Timothy A. Mellott. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
