TRIBUNE-PAID OBIT WITH PHOTO David A. Thomas, 49 of Warren, died Saturday afternoon, May 24, 2014, at the Cleveland Clinic following a brief unexpected illness. He was born May 14, 1965 in Warren, the son of the late Gerald A. "Jerry" Thomas and Patricia R. Stassin Thomas of Warren. He was a lifetime Warren area resident. David was a 1984 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School. He was working the past 24 years as the maintenance supervisor at Gillette Nursing Home on Elm Road. David loved spending time with his family and enjoyed camping. He is survived by his mother, Patricia R. Thomas of Warren; his daughter, Patricia M. "Trish" Thomas at home; two brothers, Mark (Mary) Thomas of Warren and William (Christina) Thomas of Cincinnati; two nieces, Hanna and Molly Thomas and two nephews, Keith and Matthew Thomas. His father, Jerry Thomas preceded him in death May 30, 2013. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren.
