Memorial services will be held at 7pm Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for David P. Snyder, 66 who died unexpectedly Saturday morning at his residence. He was born August 30, 1943 in Sharon, a son of Lawrence McDonald and Martha L. (Roberts) Snyder. He was a 1961 graduate of Hubbard High School and he was also a veteran of the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam war. He was currently working as a quality inspector for General Motors Lordstown, where he had been for almost 42 years. He was an avid supporter of the high school football in Smithville, MO where his grandsons play and his son coaches. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he loved playing Santa Claus for the neighborhood children for the past 36 years, and he adored his family and grandchildren. David was a kind and loving man and he will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him. His children especially will dearly miss his signature phrase "Come Here You"!!! He is survived by his wife of 43 years, the former Mary E. Kirtos, whom he married October 7, 1967. He also leaves behind three children; Jonathan P. "JP" (Kristen) Snyder of Smithville, MO, Deborah L. (Patrick Williams) Snyder of Austintown, and Steven L. Snyder of Minneapolis; a sister, Sally (Bruce) Dripps of Hubbard; and five grandsons; Korey, Michael, Kai, Jacob, and Jonah. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edward and Robert Snyder. Friends may call from 6-7pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
