David Scarano

David A. Scarano, age 67 of Austintown passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at Hospice House in Poland. David was born August 26, 1945 in Youngstown, he was the son of Domenic and Marion (Sievert) Scarano. David worked as a respiratory therapist for 25 years, which included Akron City Hospital. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. David enjoyed traveling, golf and had a zest for "beating the odds." Mostly, he cherished time spent with those he loved. Survivors include his partner of 22 years; Ellen Kessler, his son; Domenic (Michelle) Scarano of Boardman, step-son; Aaron (Kimlee) Kessler of Oakmont, PA., sister; Donna (Bernard) Slivanya of Boardman, three grandsons; Domenic, Anthony and Billy, one granddaughter; Lyla, nieces; Kerry (Keith) Lang and Kelly (Casey) Newsom. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents. A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, March 23, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Austintown. The family will receive guests from 10:00am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley in memory of David.
